OVERVIEW OF ROLE

To respond and assist internal and external guests with all enquiries and with making reservations by email, telephone or through a central reservation system. Responsible for ensuring our guests have the very best experience from the point of enquiry via telephone, email and face-to-face, as well as contributing towards promoting and selling The NoMad London bedrooms and restaurants. Proactively look for ways to maximise revenue and identify sales opportunities, maximising covers in each of our restaurants through management of our reservation systems. Anticipate needs and proactively provide solutions so that our guests’ expectations are not only met but exceeded.

EXPECTATIONS

The Reservations Agent is expected to:

  • Be professional at all the times.
  • A good knowledge of hotel systems is nice but not essential , eg Opera, Delphi Salesforce
  • Represent The NoMad positively to all internal and external associates.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times, including but not exclusive of; H&S policies, P&D policies.
  • Manage own workload efficiently.
  • Communicate well within the team, other departments across the hotel and management.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities of the Reservations Agent are summarised below, the list is not exhaustive:

  • Processes reservations by mail, telephone or central reservation systems.
  • Processes reservations from the sales office, other hotel departments, and travel agents.
  • Knows the type of rooms available as well as their location and layout and connection options.
  • Knows the rates, and benefits of all packages.
  • Knows the policies of the hotel and how to code each reservation.
  • Complete the tasks list as part of the daily tasks.
  • Communicate reservation information to the relevant departments and inform about any important changes.
  • Understands the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows.
  • Processes advance deposits on reservations.
  • Tracks future room availabilities.
  • Always maintains a clean and neat appearance and work area.
