Coat Check Attendant


Description
The mission of LDV Hospitality is to bring la dolce vita, 'the good life' to all of our guests by providing authentic and charming hospitality experiences through our collection of extraordinary people and hospitality concepts.

The Coat Check Attendant is responsible for assisting guests by storing coats, hats, articles of clothing and accessories during their dining experience and retrieving and returning the items afterward.

Duties / Responsibilities:
- Engagement with guest's in a professional, calm, welcoming manner
- Constant communication done with clarity
- Uses LDV standards of engagement for all service techniques
- Provide engaged, friendly, and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact, respectable conversation and smiling
- Ability to manage the organization of the Coat Check Process from start to finish
- Basic knowledge of menu items, wines, beers, and cocktails, appropriate to answer guest questions
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation (coat closet/coat check stand)
- Perform opening and closing duties as specified per scheduled shift
- Practice highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials
- Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by the Department of Health (DOH)
- Perform all other related activities as assigned by management

Qualifications:
- Deliver timely and courteous service to LDV Hospitality guests in adherence to our company policies and procedures
- Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English.
- Maintain friendly, helpful and positive attitude at all times.
- Strong customer service background
- Ability to have an outgoing, friendly disposition for guest relations
- Adherence to company, state, and county sanitation standards.
- Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times.
- Attendance to company meetings and training seminars as required.
- Responsible for training and developing new employees to LDV Hospitality’s standards of service.
- Adherence to company uniform and grooming policies.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the management
- Adhere to all HR policies and procedures

Education / Experience:
- 1+ years experience as a Coat Check of a similar caliber concept
- High School education is preferred, but not required

Physical/Special Requirements:
- Ability to lift 10 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day
- Mobility and manual dexterity appropriate to staff the Coat Check position

Work Environment:
- Ability to withstand a high volume of business and the movement, noise and temperature extremes associated with that volume
- Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress
