Assistant Manager

An exciting career opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Manager at our specialist seafood restaurant, bar and private dining room, The Seahorse, in Dartmouth, South Devon.

 We are an Award Winning Restaurant achieving the highly prestigious “Top Restaurant in the UK” at the Observer Food Monthly Awards and “Best Seafood Restaurant in the UK” by the Good Food guide. The Seahorse is situated on the banks of the River Dart in Dartmouth, where we’re lucky enough to have some of the best fish and shellfish landed in the world.

 This opportunity is open to an Assistant Managers or General Managers of different experience and skill sets, with a natural flair for TRUE hospitality.

 We would want you to be passionate about seafood and hospitality and are able to share your enthusiasm through amazing service levels. You’ll be consistent, reliable and excited about being part of a happy and supportive team. As an Assistant Manager experience is essential. You will be experienced at working in busy restaurants and will be able to work under pressure. You will support the General Manager and the management team in the day to day running of the restaurant, bar, private dining room and events, have great people skills and be an intuitive person always thinking about what to do next.

What we require from you:

● To be able to work some weekends and evenings

● To have had previous hospitality experience in a restaurant and bar 

● A sound knowledge of wine - preferable but not essential

● Enthusiasm and willingness to work hard

● Either a clean drivers' licence and own your car or live locally

● Ability to also work in 'Joe's Bar and The Cantina attached to The Seahorse

● Punctuality and smart appearance
