While lost at sea in a small sailboat, Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato conceived the idea for Serafina. While suffering from the elements of exposure and hunger, they fantasized about creating the perfect pizza in an effort to distract themselves. Combining Fabio’s architectural genius to construct a revolutionary oven, with Vittorio’s artistry in Neapolitan cuisine, a brilliant partnership was born. The duo swore that, if they survived, they would open a restaurant serving the best pizza and pasta in the world. <br>Serafina's Tribeca location has a menu and environment tailored to its neighborhood, which has a diverse clientele of local families, business professionals, and tourists.
