Kitchen Porter Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced and committed Kitchen Porter Supervisor to join the exceptional team at Sexy Fish, part of Caprice Holdings.

Based on Berkeley Square Sexy Fish has a capacity for up to 190 covers on the ground floor and a stunning private dining space on the lower ground floor. The restaurant is vibrant, glamorous with high energy focusing on the finest quality ingredients to create an Asian inspired menu with a focus on Japan.

As Kitchen Porter Supervisor you will manage the outsourced Kitchen Porter team on a daily basis, liaising effectively with the senior management team as well as the Senior Chefs and Chef Director.

Some of the key tasks for the Kitchen Porter Supervisor will be:
• Ensure we maintain a clean and tidy pot wash area at al times
• Ensure that all members of the team always comply with COSSH and food hygiene regulations.
• Ensure the cleaning schedules are adhered to and signed off correctly
• Ensure the effective maintenance of all equipment and any issues reported to the maintenance team or external suppliers in a timely manner
• Ensure the rotas put in place by the external cleaning company give sufficient cover throughout each day and period pf service
• Ensure any performance issues or concerns are raised to the external cleaning company’s management team in a timely manner and followed through
• Keep the Chef Director and Senior Chefs updated on a daily basis
The successful candidate would ideally:
• Currently be in a very similar role with a very busy restaurant or hotel environment
• Have previous experience of managing a team
• Have previous experience working within a fast paced kitchen as a Kitchen Porter
• Have very good communication skills
• Have excellent attention to detail, high standards and takes pride in their work
• Have good food hygiene and COSHH knowledge, qualifications would be an advantage
