Junior Sommelier

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Junior Sommelier to join the team of our fantastic restaurant; Sexy Fish, part of Caprice Holdings.

Sexy Fish has a capacity for 190 covers on the ground floor, an extensive bar area and a stunning private dining space on the lower ground floor. The restaurant is vibrant, glamorous with high energy focusing on the finest quality ingredients to create an Asian inspired fish and seafood menu, complimented with a creative and extensive wine list and cocktail list.

As Junior Sommelier you will be expected to assist the Head Sommelier and Sommeliers with all aspects of the wine service in the restaurant and private dining room. As Junior Sommelier you will recommend and sell wines to our customers that will complement their tastes and menu choices. Engaging with customers is essential therefore a passion for delivering the highest levels of service is essential.

The ideal Junior Sommelier will have:
• Previous experience as a Junior Sommelier within a high quality, destination restaurant.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with customers and provide charismatic and engaging service
• Possess as a minimum WSET Level 2 or equivalent Sommelier qualification
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team
• Communicate clearly, professionally and concisely
• A keen interest in food with an understanding of Asian dishes being an advantage but not essential
