We are bringing the lauded Sexy Fish to Miami. Slated for a Fall 2021 launch, Sexy Fish will open in Brickell, Miami’s hottest neighbourhood and we want you to come on board. Serving a diverse, inspired menu in the hedonistic surrounds of the glittering restaurant this is the only place you will want to be. Designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the look and feel of Sexy Fish Miami will be glamorous and opulent. The food, curated by Chef Director Bjoern Weissgerber exquisite and unexpected. The destination bar will boast the US’s largest Dom Perignon selection, alongside Opus One wines and a hard-to resist drinks list. From lunch through to late night you will want to be part the team in this vibrant, high energy atmosphere serving exceptional food and drink.

We are looking for an Assistant HR Manager to join our new opening Sexy Fish Miami.

As an Assistant HR Manager you will work with the Head Office and Restaurant Team to guarantee the effective implementation of the company’s People Strategy. You will establish great Talent Management practices, ensuring we have engaged people in the right place, at the right time driving exceptional performance. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • To work in with the People and Operations Teams in identifying the manpower plan across the business, ensuring we have full head count at all times enabling the stability and growth of our business

  • To assist the wider team in their roles and with specialist People / HR projects across the business 

  • To work with Group L&D Manager and Recruitment Manager to understand the emerging needs of the business, spot trends and propose appropriate interventions  

  • To actively lead the people agenda and participate in restaurant and people team meetings 

  • To ensure all employee relations are managed effectively within the team through coaching and mentoring 

  • Analyze and actively support all departments to interpret key HR data such as Exit Interviews, Internal promotions and disciplinary procedures.

  • Assists the Human Resources Manager in the formulation of HR policies and procedures. 

  •  Provide guidance to the leadership team regarding employee morale, employee relations, coaching, counseling and discipline. 

  •  Assists in developing and conducting management training on a variety of leadership and HR topics. 

  • Manages the performance evaluation process for management and hourly staff. 

  • Oversees the benefit administration process which includes: FMLA, Open Enrollment and new hire enrollment health benefits. 

  • Oversees Workers Compensation programs, ensuring claims and reports are submitted in a timely basis, modified duty and ensuring employees return to work. 

  • Continually assesses employee morale by analyzing absenteeism and turnover records, lateness and resignations; by conducting exit interviews; and by interviewing employees periodically in order to ascertain possible trouble areas. 

  • Conducts exit interviews for management positions. 

  • Maintains working knowledge of all benefits policies, procedures, and programs including group health insurance, FMLA, and COBRA. 

  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the Human Resources department
