Line Cook

Shukette, the newest concept from The Bowery Group Restaurants (Shuka, Cookshop, Vic’s and Rosie’s) is hiring now and seeking ambitious, hard-working, and passionate Line Cooks to join the team. We are excited to be opening this spring in advance of the improved weather and renewed energy of a city hungry for fresh and fun offerings.  Shukette will offer playful Eastern Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern fare that honors seasonal ingredients and sourcing regional farm products on a bright corner in the heart of Chelsea.  Our restaurants are committed to excellence in hospitality.

Seriously interested candidates must be organized, hard-working and self-motivated. Candidates must also have a strong desire to learn and grow in addition to strong communication skills as well as being a team player. Must have a flexible schedule and full-time availability. There are many growth opportunities for committed line cooks within the company.

The candidate will:

• Demonstrate mastery of classic cooking techniques.

• Have at least one year of professional pastry kitchen experience.

• Have experience working in a high volume restaurant

• Work with a sense of urgency.

• Be a team player

• Have an understanding of NY Department of Health protocols for food safety 

• Possess strong communication skills

• Stay positive and calm under pressure
