What does your role bring to the table?

The Instructional Design and eLearning Specialist is an integral person on the Teaching, Leadership, and Coaching Team for Snooze. Our success in creating a culture of education, effective communication, and accountability hinges on our ability to tell a great story, capture the Why, and enhance the vision around our Guest Experience.  By developing educational materials that speak the language of Snooze this person will greatly impact the overall level of leadership and empowerment at Snooze.  In addition to creating a strong and effective brand for Snooze communications, the Instructional Design and eLearning Specialist will focus on bridging the gap between hands-on learning and technology-based learning systems by assisting in the creation and execution of a Snooze Learning Management System.  The ongoing development of this tool will also allow us to be innovative, experimental and industry-leading as we continue to grow the brand and culture of Snooze. The importance of training and storytelling can only be enhanced by the passion and dedication of our Instructional Design and eLearning Specialist

 

The Position specifics!

Taking on the role of the Instructional Design and e-Learning Specialist isn’t just about bacon and pancakes. The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Support all Mothership departments in graphic and instructional design needs relating to internal training, content and development platforms
  • Create, manage, develop, ideate and maintain Snooze’s online LMS
  • Creation and maintenance of LMS process, modules, training programs, and reporting procedures
  • SME for e-learning material applications (to include but not limited to, new application adoption, testing, installation and end-user training) Assist in creation and development of virtual e-learning content and process
  • Ability to build interdepartmental relationships that allow for effective written material development and storytelling through collaboration
  • Support all additional technology-based training materials for Mothership and restaurants
  • Support the creation of videos or other multi-media projects related to training and development
  • Ensure, thorough clear communication, that all teams are informed of their available training resources and said training resources are easily accessible
  • Support the evaluation and assessment of Snoozer learning needs including scope, learner's ability, and operational performance to create alignment
  • Use of ADDIE, Kirkpatrick or other learning models to create and evaluate training content
  • Support innovation as it relates to potential new eLearning programs and instructional design systems
  • Maintain continuous personal leadership development and skill enhancement (once per quarter)
  • Maintain connection with the restaurants and positional training via in-restaurant days (once per quarter)
  • Work collaboratively with Team TLC, Director of Training, VP of Operations, Ops Services Team and COO to meet all department goals and expectations
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet Snooze operational needs

Let’s talk prerequisites! (Education, credentials, and experience)

  • Experience with and/or a desire to learn adult learning principles
  • 2+ years working in an instructional design capacity (including graphic design & online LMS systems)
  • 2+ years working with multiple learning platforms and technologies (Wisetail experience is a plus!)
  • Experience designing, developing, and/ or implementing training courses and programs, utilizing a systematic approach (preferably in a hospitality and/or service environment)
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Including but not limited to; InDesign, Adobe Captivate, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Extensive expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
  • Experience with other eLearning authoring tools (including but not limited to, Articulate, Lessonly, Storyvine, Brainshark, etc.)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  •  Must have the stamina to work 45 to 50 hours per week
  • The travel required for this position is approximately 10% and you must be able to travel for up to 5 days at one time (air, car, bus. Train, and weekend travel all required)
  • Home base is in Denver, CO at the Snooze Mothership

Denver area base salary range: $60,000 to 80,000 year

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Snooze salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Snooze’s total compensation package for employees.
