The first words to hit the paper were “Strings of Life”. An all day cafe/restaurant is actually all about complimenting the many strings in your bow. It should represent many things all at once. A quick grab n go coffee, ready to eat snacks/meals/treats, from a cookie, to a nourishing post workout snack, all the way through to leisurely catch ups with friends or meetings with clients.

Job Description

• Effectively complete opening/closing duties and adhere to Food & Safety guidelines
• Accurately, professionally and energetically take beverage and food orders from customers, recording immediately in our POS system
• Serve coffee/beverages consistent with the SOL beverage program
• Create a welcoming experience for customers by learning names and order preferences
• Accept Guest payment, process credit card charges
• Wash and sterilize glassware, clean the bar service area continually
• Maintain bottles, glasses, coffee and coffee equipment in a clean and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
• Maintain cleanliness on all areas of the bar including espresso/coffee makers, counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
• Attends all scheduled SOL meetings and trainings


Who we are looking for

• Fun, energetic, eager and committed team member
• Willing to learn the food and beverage program in detail
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to operate a POS system

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service job preferred
• Food Handlers Certificate
• A passion for coffee
