South Fin Grill in Staten Island is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable server with a passion for hospitality to join our team. We are looking for a competent Restaurant Server to uplift the dining experience for our guest, we are looking for someone who will have the patience, personality, and perseverance to thrive in this role. As the primary point of contact for guest interactions in the dining room, you will be responsible for maintaining a pleasant atmosphere for our guests in the restaurant. Responsibilities also include greeting and serving our guests, providing detailed information on the menus, multi-tasking various FOH duties and collecting the bill. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of the hospitality industry and have a high level of service skills and interpersonal skills. Must have a flexible schedule weekends & holidays is a must. Responsibilities
-Greet and escort guest to their tables
-Present menu & provide detailed information when asking (about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
-Take/serve orders, answer questions, and upsell other menu items
-Delivering food to tables
-Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
-Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
-Issue bills and accept payment
-Monitoring guest satisfaction
-Familiarity with POS
Requirements
-Proven customer servicing experience
-Customer-oriented approach and patience
-Problem-solving and decision making skills
-Hands on experience in cashier duties
-Excellent people skills
-Responsible and trustworthy
-Attention to cleanliness and safety
-High school diploma; food safety training will be considered a plus;
