Sanitation Team Member

POSITION SUMMARY:
All employees are expected to follow Good Manufacturing Procedure (GMP) guidelines and to follow work procedures. It is important to communicate and work as a team. A sanitation worker is responsible cleaning/ sanitizing equipment to ensure produced goods safe for the consumer and prevent food safety and security risks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Read and sign sanitation standard operating procedures. Follow the procedures.
• Work with and around sanitation chemicals.
• Breakdown/ Clean equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance work on equipment.
• Properly use all required PPE.
• Work with and around hot/ cold water.
• Use computer batching software.
• Need to be a team player/ work well with others.
• Perform given tasks from sanitation master plan.
• Perform visual inspection of completed work.
• Fill out daily paperwork.
• Safely operate a pressure washer and water hose station.
• Remove and dump trash.
• Drive a forklift.
• Work on elevated platforms/ ladders.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Be able to work on one’s feet throughout the entire shift.
• Be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• One year sanitation/ food safety & security experience in food manufacturing, preferred.
