Spago Beverly Hills is seeking an experienced Maitre d' to join the team!

The Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group has established our restaurants with the objectives of providing a unique cuisine paired with a special ambiance in order to create a memorable fine dining experience for our guests. Our restaurants are part of our continuous effort to offer superlative quality and the highest level of gracious and courteous guest service. To perform successfully, our employees must not only have the qualifications and abilities to perform each of the essential functions of this position, but also must continually strive to meet or surpass The Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group's objectives and exacting standards.

JOB SUMMARY: The Maitre d' is responsible for executing timely and courteous seating of guests. They are to assure and maintain the highest standard of service, sanitation and hospitality. They must be able to display knowledge of the menu and food ingredients. They must work in a clean sanitary manner keeping the host station clean during shift and organized for the next. They must be properly dressed and maintain a clean, professional appearance throughout the shift.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS : To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
Minimum 2 years previous experience as a Maitre d'
Minimum 1 year Open Table experience
Open Availability - able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks while maintaining standards of operations
Excellent guest service and hospitality skills and professional presentation
Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be a team player with a positive, helpful, can-do attitude
Skilled in customer service and personal service
Be articulate, communicative, and professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees and managers
Ability to read and/or follow written and verbal instructions and implement the same
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, or oral form
