Then, Georgetown Bev’s (GTB) Barista position may be a great opportunity to earn your potential.


GTB’s approach is one of collaboration and teamwork. While GTB baristas are expected to be total coffee pro’s, it is essential that all baristas are highly informed on all menu options including food and alcoholic beverages, and all FOH tasks that impact the customer experience. Cooperation and communication will be exceptionally important through all steps of service to deliver experiences that keep our customers coming back.

Baristas at Georgetown Bev’s are responsible for executing food and beverage service at the highest level possible!

DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coffee and tea knowledge reflective of a program at the forefront of the industry
Create and present coffee and tea drinks that unfailingly meet your team’s standards
Monitor coffee brewing parameters and adjust throughout the day as needed
Stock your work area for the business of the day with all necessary ingredients and tools
Ensure all beverage condiments are stocked (milk, sugar, stir sticks, etc)
Maintain knowledge of all menus including allergens, substitutions, taste profiles and recommendations.
Verify all food and drinks are presented per specifications before serving the guest.
Communicate clearly with the rest of the team!
Show up to work with a positive approach, and focus on creating a positive experience for your co-workers and guests.
Engage guests in friendly interactions balancing education, efficiency/speed, and friendly banter catered to the needs of the customer.
Be proactive! Provide additional service whenever possible. Refill waters, pre-bus, identify guests who seem to need help. Be constantly aware of your surroundings and try to anticipate the needs of the guests and your co-workers.


FACILITY CLEANLINESS AND APPEARANCE

Maintain a clean and organized work area constantly throughout service.
Stock and organize your work area.
Maintain exceptional cleanliness in all dining/FOH areas as well as restrooms and other areas accessible to customers.
Complete all checklists for opening, closing, rotating and running cleaning duties.
Ensure compliance to federal, state and city regulations regarding food handling and safety.
Perform “deep cleaning” tasks during downtimes. The upkeep of the space is integral the customers perception and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current compliance with TABC and Food Handler certification.
Reliable Transportation
Ability to work as part of a dynamic team to consistently deliver a quality product
Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and team members
Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Able to handle objects, reach with arms and hands, stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time; Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance, pull, bend, stoop, and perform upward reaching for an extended period of time
At least 18 years of age
Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined during training
Excellent people skills and outgoing personality
Team work ethic
