Description

Since opening in 2014, The Bonnie has been Astoria's favorite destination for craft cocktails, elevated bar food, beer garden-style outdoor drinking and private events. The Bonnie is looking for a General Manager to lead our team.

THE ROLE:
As General Manager, you will oversee daily operations for The Bonnie. We're looking for a strategic thinker, problem solver, multi-tasker, and an excellent communicator. This key leader will uphold The Bonnie's standards of excellence in all areas including team management, financial accountability, quality of service, and guest relations.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 3+ years of experience in restaurant management in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • An approachable and intelligent leader who is able to motivate, manage, and develop a large and diverse team
  • Excellent verbal and written/digital communication skills
  • Self-starter who is results-oriented and who appreciates and takes initiative on both the essential details and the bigger picture
  • Team player with a roll up your sleeves attitude
  • Superb time management skills with the ability to prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow-up and execution
  • Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and cocktails
  • Full availability, including nights and weekends

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Oversee and hands-on management of day-to-day operations of The Bonnie
  • Manage the FOH and BOH teams, working floor shifts creating a positive work environment, driving sales, motivating the team and creating exceptional guest experiences
  • Lead the team on hiring, training, coaching, and overall development of team members including orientation, performance reviews and any necessary disciplinary action
  • Develop strategies to manage and be accountable for restaurant financials such as food and beverage costs and labor efficiency
  • Maintain quality and standards of The Bonnie's culture, food, drink, service and atmosphere
  • Foster a dynamic, fun, and inclusive culture
