Purpose & Scope

Support all membership acquisition and retention activities in line with objectives. As our ideal candidate, you will have managerial experience in membership acquisition and community building. You should also have: 

·        Charisma and confidence when communicating, with a can-do attitude

·        An entrepreneurial spirit, quick to spot new opportunities to increase sales, improve systems and processes, and build community

·        A keen desire to understand our client’s needs. You are fascinated by the power of social business to achieve the vital social, environmental and economic shifts required to create a fair and sustainable future

·        You are enthusiastic about The Conduit’s mission to achieve positive social change through collaboration between its members. You understand the membership market and The Conduit’s unique position within it.

Responsibilities & Key Duties

Above we have listed the skills we would like the Membership Coordinator to have. Below speaks more about the individual’s abilities to match our company culture:

·        Co-design the membership acquisition and retention strategy with the Head of Membership, including the budgeting of member growth and member retention in line with the company strategy.

·        Support achieving budgeted yearly membership acquisition and retention forecasts in line with membership category demographics

o   Design and run activities to attract new members, such as Open House events

o   Engage with partners to increase the visibility of The Conduit

o   Produce analysis of membership engagement to ensure data driven sales and retention strategies, and produce a report for the Head of Membership on a monthly basis

o   Lead the team in securing high levels of nominations from within the community

o   Run membership nomination and selection process

o   Develop a pipeline of corporate targets for membership growth

o   Work closely with the Marketing Team to attract new members, including external communications such as the non-member newsletter, and website for sales purposes

o   Ensure inclusive approach to member recruitment and demographic balance within the community

·        Oversee new member onboarding process, including ensuring

o   smooth user experience from completion of online forms to payment

o   clear communications with prospective members through the process

o   warm welcome to all new members, digitally and in person

o   high rates of completion of all necessary information

o   high uptake in attendance of new member orientations and welcome drinks

·        Comply with all statutory and company health and safety and security

·        Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures

·        Actively champions and promotes The Conduit Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategy

·        Supports and contributes to the overall success of The Conduit

·        Alongside your key duties you may be asked to complete other tasks as and when necessary and reasonably required in line with business needs.

Skills & Experience

·        Sales, retention, and/or engagement experience

·        Experience working with digital communities

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, other languages a plus

·        Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail and a sense of urgency

·        Ability to manage and prioritise challenging workloads

·        Strongly results oriented, ability to work independently and show initiative

·        Ability to balance several different tasks simultaneously in order to meet deadlines

·        Views individual differences as a way to build new ideas and innovations.

·        Attention to detail and enjoys working with numbers
