We are currently looking for a Luggage Porter to join our team at the Duke of Richmond Hotel.

This beautiful, luxurious hotel in St Peter Port is an easy stroll to the harbour and overlooks a quiet park with views across the sea. A dedicated and friendly team create memorable stays which never fail to exceed expectations. Superb dining with fresh local seafood can be savoured in stylish surroundings or al fresco on the terrace overlooking the pool.

As a Luggage Porter, you will be warm and welcoming - always ready to assist our guests with a smile! Working alongside our Concierge team you will help with their luggage whilst offering great knowledge of the hotel and local area to ensure they can make the most out of their stay.

Main responsibilities of the Luggage Porter include:

• Meeting and greeting guests
• Luggage handling
• Escorting guests to their rooms and explaining hotel facilities
• Answering general guest queries
• Parking guests’ cars
• Ensuring that the lobby and front area of the hotel is presentable and clean at all times

The ideal candidate for the Luggage Porter position should:

• Have good knowledge of surrounding area
• Have a positive and proactive attitude
• Have team player spirit
• Portray professional standards at all times
• Have a friendly and bubbly personality
• Communicate effectively in English
• A clean UK/European driving license is desirable for this position and for insurance purposes all applicants must be over the age of 25.
