Recently awarded Aberdeen City & Shire Hospitality Employer of the Year, as well as 2 Michelin Keys, and rated number 1 by Conde Naste Readers Choice, The Fife Arms Hotel, located in the village of Braemar in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, is recruiting Commis Chefs to join the team! 

As Commis Chef you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing the mis-en-place for the section assigned to you according to a list given to you by the Sous Chef.
  • Ensuring the quality of food preparation is of the exceptional standard.
  • Ensuring effective communication within the team.
  • Assisting on other sections or help with other duties when required.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness, organisation, and standards of the section.

You’ll be surrounded by a team with a creative flair and a passion for fresh food and brilliant service with a desire to learn and grow. All striving to go beyond for guests, our team, and the community.

Our successful Commis Chef will have:

  • A true passion for food.
  • Have the enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
  • Good kitchen and knife skills.
  • Have a good understanding of health & safety and food safety guidelines within the kitchen.
  • Possess a willingness to work to the high standards that are demanded from a luxury establishment.
