• You will be an experienced chef, with leadership experience possibly from the individual restaurant field or from an innovative hotel environment

The Details
• Create, execute, and produce top-notch food with a constant eye on the highest quality standards, presentation, and flavor, with an eye on industry trends and neighborhood demands
• Supervise operations of kitchens to maximize service potential, always finding ways to enhance the guest experience through memorable and delicious dishes and properly timed meals
• Ensure budget goals are achieved with industry leading metrics, with a specific focus on food and labor costs
• On board and create training programs for new hires
• You’ll take ownership of the restaurant operations and make decisions based on the good of the guest, the company and the people that are part of it.
• Ensure statutory compliance in all food and drink related areas
• You will keep well-organized store rooms and inventories that allow for smooth running kitchens
• Oversee any kitchen related issues relating to kitchen staff and facilities maintenance
• Continuously monitor and gauge the morale of the team, find creative ways to encourage staff retention, and through example, instill a passion to learn and grow
• Train, Coach, Develop, and repeat. Consistently build a people pipeline in which growth is encouraged and we strive to promote from within
• Investigate and resolve any food-related concerns, including foodborne illness and foreign object complaints
• Hold team accountable for proper set up and breakdown procedures
• Oversee a maintenance program that protects and extends the life of our equipment
• Follow and enforce cleaning and maintenance standards to ensure an A- Grade from the NYC Department of Health
• Build and sustain relationships with vendors and distributors
