Description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice to join our Kitchen team.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Apprentice, who has the ability to deliver 5* service at all times. It is essential to have a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and great attention to detail. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent communication skills.

The main responsibilities of this Apprentice position are:
• To carry out all tasks as directed by your immediate supervisor/ manager and to assist in any other areas or duties within the kitchen/ hotel upon request
• To take ownership that you are aware of your scheduled working hours (subject to change) and work to them on a weekly basis.
• To take ownership that you are aware of your scheduled college attendance and attend classes as required
• To take ownership that all college coursework is up to date at all times and to make detailed notes of all new tasks performed in the workplace on a daily basis. And submit to your sous chef weekly.
• To work as an individual and as part of a team by assisting in the preparation of mise-en-place and service for the section / department.

The ideal candidate for the Apprentice requires the following:
• Can-do attitude
• Embraces new ideas and change in a positive manner.
• Consistently works well with other in the team to achieve a desired goal.
• Recognize the need to assist colleagues within busy and challenging periods.

As an Apprentice, you will be working with a dedicated and passionate Kitchen team and will report directly to the Sous Chef. You are expected to be passionate about your work and have the desire to progress your career in a leading five star hotel.
