Position: Assistant Manager
Location: The Lighthouse Bar & Kitchen, Mumbles, Swansea
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role

As our Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the bar and kitchen. You’ll work closely with the General Manager to lead a motivated team, ensure smooth operations, and deliver a consistently outstanding experience to our customers—whether they’re here for a casual coffee, a weekend cocktail, or a full dining experience.

We also have a popular events space overlooking the bay where you would support the manager to ensure our guests have the best experience possible.

Your Responsibilities
  • Support and deputise for the General Manager

  • Lead by example on the floor and behind the bar

  • Manage rotas, stock control, and supplier orders

  • Train and support team members to maintain high service standards

  • Handle customer feedback with confidence and professionalism

  • Help organise and deliver events, seasonal offers, and promotions

What We’re Looking For
  • Previous supervisory or management experience in a hospitality environment

  • A natural leader with excellent communication and people skills

  • Organised, reliable, and confident under pressure

  • A strong understanding of food and drink service (including cocktails/barista skills a bonus!)

  • A passion for customer service and a love for the local area

What We Offer
  • A supportive, fun, and friendly working environment

  • Opportunities for progression and professional development

  • Staff discounts on food and drink

  • A chance to be part of a much-loved venue in one of Wales’s most beautiful coastal locations
