Description
The exciting position of Deputy Head Housekeeper has arisen at the 5* service Lowry Hotel - Manchester’s Iconic Hotel .
As Deputy Head Housekeeper you will work alongside the Executive Head Housekeeper in assisting the management of a busy housekeeping department and maximizing the performance of the team. You will be responsible for supervising the housekeeping and laundry operation across our Iconic hotel. This includes 165 unique bedrooms and 6 suites, and our stunning public areas . The role of Deputy Head Housekeeper is an excellent opportunity to showcase your guest experience and management skills as a key member of the housekeeping team of our 5* Hotel. You will be responsible for assuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all areas of the hotel with the aim at all times to exceed expectations and ensure total guest satisfaction. Our aim is to create distinctly memorable experiences and so we strive to make every visit an occasion for our guests.
MAIN DUTIES:
• Attend and provide input at Housekeeping meetings. Act on any special instructions and
pass on relevant information
• Report anything which may be considered a Health & Safety hazard.
• Perform related duties and special projects, which may be assigned by the Executive
Housekeeper .
• Ensure 5* cleaning standards across the hotel
To ensure that all the standards are met:
• Follow departmental procedures and comply with Company Policies
• Liaise with team members, Supervisors, Managers and guests
• Assist with guest request or queries
• Handle and store chemical as per Health & Safety policy
• Assist in the servicing of public / back of house areas
The role of a Deputy Head Housekeeper is a practical and manual job which includes bending, carrying,
standing and pushing/pulling equipment. Flexibility in this role is essential as the hours of work are on a shift basis including weekends, early & late shift.
