Description

We are currently recruiting for a Breakfast Chef to join our fantastic Kitchen Brigade and to support the Breakfast service!

The usual working hours for the role 6.30am – 3.00pm or 6.00am- 2.30pm Monday - Friday!


As a Chef de Partie your key responsibilities are to ensure the smooth service during breakfast hours and to assist in preparation of the lunch for the hotel team. The breakfast buffet offers a classic selection of continental breakfast options and variety  of a`la carte dishes served freshly from the kitchen for an approximately 100 covers on average.

The Montague on the Gardens Hotel, part of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection, is a stunning four star deluxe property located in the heart of London’s elegant Bloomsbury. This wonderfully refurbished Georgian townhouse features 100 individually designed bedrooms and suites, The Leopard Bar, Blue Door Bistro, a wood deck terrace and several function rooms. It is also famous for al-fresco dining, including an alpine themed Ski Lodge in the winter and a Hawaiian Beach Bar in the summer.

What are the key responsibilities of a Chef de Partie?

  • Setting up their own section
  • Being able to assist the senior chef on a daily basis
  • Food preparation
  • Training junior members of staff
  • Maintaining high health and safety standards
  • General section organisation
  • Section ordering

What are we looking for in a Breakfast Chef ?

  • Have previous experience in a similar role in a four or five star hotel or fine dining restaurant
  • Have had experience in running a section of the kitchen
  • Be able to work well under pressure
  • Be organised and keep the section clean and tidy while working
  • Have a good level of English
  • Have a friendly, flexible and professional attitude
