THE NAGS HEAD – GREAT MISSENDEN

Recently crowned as 'The Best in Bucks' by Pub & Bar Magazine, The Nags Head is a popular Buckinghamshire pub set in the heart of the Chilterns. We are known for our idyllic setting, quality food, and boutique bed & breakfast guest rooms. We have recently had a dramatic shake-up in the kitchen having appointed Head Chef, Howard Gale, and his incredibly talented new kitchen brigade. As a result, this has enabled us to progress from a casual, foodie pub to a more sophisticated offering without losing the affections of our long-time locals and remaining an idyllic Country Inn. We are therefore looking to expand our core team with some strong talent to ensure we can maintain and develop our excellent reputation and win further recognition and awards across the hospitality sector.

 The Role:

Team Member – Front of House

We are looking for an enthusiastic waiter/waitress with a keen interest in the hospitality sector who enjoys fine food & drink to join our front-of-house team. The right candidate will have a genuine passion for impeccable customer service and be able to offer personal and thoughtful touches to each guest’s dining experience, taking the time to listen to the needs of our guests, and building natural rapport with them.

 The Waiter/Waitress must:

·      Have waiting experience (from a/multiple high-end establishments preferred)

·      Can fluently speak & understand English

·      Show meticulous attention to detail

·      Be competent in prioritising tasks during busy periods

·      Always appreciate the importance of impeccable customer service and practice this throughout each service

·      Be quick to learn and withhold new information, skills, and methods of working

·      Have a passion and understanding for fine food & flavours with the ability to make knowledgeable suggestions and recommendations on the dishes that customers might enjoy.

It is paramount that staff are self-motivated team players and can confidently communicate with customers, the FOH staff, and kitchen team throughout each shift. They must have a can-do attitude with an ambition to progress. Staff are ambassadors of our evolving brand and encouraged to promote the entablement and its success as the restaurant gains increasing recognition in the press & social media.

Company Overview

The Nags Head are new to the RedCat family, who are acquiring multiple pubs and inns in sort after locations across the UK. Our calling is to revive and re-generate potentially amazing spaces, by investing heavily in the buildings, and design, their branding, and most of all the people. By providing industry leading, lifestyle enhancing spaces, we will be injecting excitement back into the hospitality sector. RedCat is an ambitious, fast paced company and if you want to come on this exciting journey, the opportunities at RedCat are infinite.

The RedCat Way

We want every employee at RedCat to carry out their role and responsibilities with the same approach, having integrity, showing care, and being respectful. Hospitality is your personality, that’s why you are an honest problem solver who will roll up your sleeves and make sure every customer you serve has an incredible experience, one to write home about.

You should have an interest and an understanding of commercials of the business; how using promotions, and recommendations will help your venue achieve profitability and growth, as well as ensuring all bills are recorded and paid for accurately.

You see the importance of keeping a clean and tidy section, following RedCat health and safety standards and you ensure your department is wonderfully inviting and immaculately presented at all times.
