Role: Reservations Team Leader

The Other House are looking for a dynamic and energetic Reservations Team Leader who has a passion for delivering impeccable experiences to clients, guests, members and residents. This individual needs to have a strong background in reservations at a hotel or a central reservations office – preferably experience in both - with a passion for creating memorable moments through flawless attention to detail and personalised resident/member service. The Other House are looking for an individual who effectively will deliver entrepreneurial yet personal sales service with a strong focus on sustainability and cutting-edge technology. For us, there is ‘inside the box’, there is ‘outside the box’ and then there are our OtherHouseMates – passionate, self-driven and completely comfortable with pushing the boundaries.

About you - We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong leadership abilities and organisational skills
  • Entrepreneurial personality, thinking outside of the box, able to drive change and look for operational efficiencies/synergies across the House
  • Previous experience in a Front of House role
  • Creative spark that will leave a lasting impression
  • Flair for intuitive service
  • Excellent command of English – both verbal and written
  • Positive, engaging personality
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong task and time management abilities
  • The right to work in UK

The key responsibilities of the role are: 

Management and Leadership

  • Overall responsibility for the management of the Reservations Team whilst on duty and in the absence of the Reservations Manager
  • Guiding, leading and involving direct reports.
  • Maintain close working relationships between Reservations, revenue and other key departments such as Sales, Events and Front Office.
  • Ensure that there is clear and consistent communication between these departments with specific emphasis at senior level so that each department have common goals and objectives.

Sales Management, Financial Awareness and Reporting

  • Be aware of the business objectives and play a major role in, forecasting and achievement of Club Flat Revenues along with Event Revenues
  • Utilise the booking management systems and tools to ensure that revenue and profit are maximised.
  •  Manage availability of Club Flats and Event Space (food and beverage spaces) in PMS/CRS/RMS.
  • Ensure absolute knowledge of the Club Flats in all Other Houses, types, USP’s, sizes etc, and ensure that all of the team are able to sell them.
  • Ensure absolute knowledge of the Event offerings at all Other Houses
  • Develop reports to give greater understanding of the rooms and events revenue.
  • Prepare a monthly report on selling / enquiry and conversion activities and effectiveness of actions.
  • Attends regular sales and reservations meetings and presents findings of the monthly report.
  • Measures the pace of bookings, highlights need periods and along with colleagues develops a plan to address it.
  • Understand all Group and Combo options, management and contracting of
  • Reviews and update group rate guidelines with the Revenue Manager. Provide guidance to the team on group pricing
  • Identifies opportunities for the Other House Properties and develops a plan to exploit them.
