Description
We are currently seeking a passionate Waiter / Waitress to join the team at the Curry Room Restaurant in the Rubens at the Palace Hotel. The main focus will be to provide excellent guest service, communicate with the kitchen and other staff members to ensure excellent service and food quality.
The Rubens at the Palace Hotel, part of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection, is a stunning five star property located in the heart of London’s Victoria and within walking distance of Buckingham Palace. This wonderful hotel has been fully refurbished and features 161 individually designed bedrooms and suites, as well as a range of Food and Beverage outlets including The English Grill Restaurant, The Curry Room Restaurant, The New York Bar, The Palace Lounge and Champagne Bar, as well as 9 well equipped function rooms.
Key responsibilities of the Waiter / Waitress will include:
• Ensuring prompt, professional guest service
• Suggestively selling food and beverage at every opportunity
• Being totally familiar with the relevant menus and all beverage products available through the bar and wine list
• Attending monthly departmental meetings
• Involving yourself in training, development and suggestive selling activities within the department
The ideal candidate for the Waiter / Waitress position should:
• Be a team player and a good communicator
• Be professionally presented
• Have a strong passion for food and beverage
• Have great guest focus and attention to detail
• Be organised while working under pressure
