In Room Dining Coordinator

As an In Room Dining Coordinator you are in the single most important communication position in the department in defining the timeliness and accuracy of guest's orders and requests.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the In Room Dining Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

To be responsible for charging all food and beverage and miscellaneous items in the department
To answer telephones, assist and take orders and requests correctly, recommending and selling as appropriate
To up sell to guests and help guests make a full selection of our products
To issue guest orders or requests to waiters or butlers in absence of managers
To monitor timing of all orders and advise management of any delays or problems occurring
To contact guests if there are delays or challenges with an order, with managers input
To check orders for quality and presentation where possible when leaving the floor in absence of managers
To prepare all documentation for mini bar waiters
To offer butler service to suite guests if required
To know where to have clothing item repaired
To operate all computer systems in accordance with the correct operating standards
To order all stationery and organise the office on a daily basis
To record all complaints in the log book and bring to the attention of the management, any detail or comment or knowledge that refers to a guest
To deal with all queries from Reception, Cashiers, Accounts and other departments as necessary
To report all maintenance defects
To update guest profile when required
To assist other Food and Beverage departments to service guests as required i.e. Banqueting, Kaspar’s
To ensure complimentary and private orders are sent to guest's room and charged for
To be available for work as and when required
To know how to take a private order by telephone and get all appropriate information.

Qualifications:
Previous food and beverage expereince required - minimum of one year
High level standard of English is requried
High level of computer skills
Able to perform all co-ordinator duties and responsibilites
Well organised and able to prioritize in a busy environment
Pysically albe to operate effeciently in a day in a limited size office space
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Sitting and working in fron of a computer for 8 hrs
Ability to carry and pull heavy loads
Standing, bending and lifting may be required

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in the UK. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining UK work authorization.
