Culinary Placement Programme
Our Culinary Placement Programme is designed for students and fresh graduates studying culinary courses offering them an amazing opportunity to be placed into Commis Chef Positions for a period of 12 months. The students rotate through two different kitchens for 6 months each. The possible rotations are Kaspar’s at the Savoy, Thames, Simpson’s In the Strand and Banqueting.

The Savoy, a Fairmont-managed five star hotel, is one of the most celebrated of London landmarks, proudly standing on the Northbank of the River Thames. Fine dining has always been an integral part of The Savoy, since world-renowned chef Auguste Escoffier set an unprecedented standard in 1889.

The Savoy has today 3 restaurants and 5 kitchens:

Kaspar’s Seafood Bar and Grill offers informal dining in a stylish Art Deco setting whilst Simpson’s-in-the-Strand remain steadfastly at the top of every Londoner’s list for the best roast dinner and a sense of British tradition.

The beautiful Thames Foyer, truly the heart of the hotel, is where The Savoy serves one of London’s finest traditional Afternoon Teas, a custom that remains a British institution whereas our skilled banquet team create inspiring settings and delectable cuisine that transform the expected into unexpected moments that stand out.

We are always excited to find amazingly creative individuals with a passion for serving our guests and working in one of London’s finest luxury destinations. The Savoy Kitchen proudly boasts over 100 Chefs in a dynamic kitchen who love to work hard in a fun environment!
