Are you an experienced Sous Chef looking for the next step in your career? If so we would love to hear from you!

We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow.

You will share our passion for great food and you will support our Head Chef with the running of the kitchen. You will be a role model for the kitchen team, supporting with their development and progression within the team.

This is a full time role and we'll support you to develop your career within a large kitchen team.


WHAT YOU’LL BE GETTING UP TO

- Leading the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef and organising others under your supervision
- Placing orders using our stock systems to ensure correct stock levels are maintained
- Controlling the kitchen from a financial and quality driven perspective
- Assisting the Head Chef with the scheduling, development and recruiting of staff
- Keeping in touch with current food trends and having an input with suggestions for the menu


KEY SKILLS

- Awareness of customer needs
- Ability to effectively lead a team
- Demonstrating strong company and menu knowledge


The Seafood Restaurant was the first restaurant opened by Rick Stein and Jill Stein in 1975. The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow is famous for establishing an international reputation for the very freshest fish and shellfish, often landed on our doorstep. In the centre of the restaurant is a Seafood Bar where guests can enjoy watching chefs assembling platters of oysters, langoustines and sashimi.
