Description
The Spaniard, the newest bar from the team behind The Wren and Wilfie & Nell, located at West 4th and Barrow in the West Village is looking for a new Front of House Manager to join our team. Inspired by great New York institutions, The Spaniard is designed to be a classic New York corner tavern, a new bar with an old soul.

THE ROLE:
The Front of House Manager will oversee daily floor service for The Spaniard. We're looking for a strategic thinker, problem solver, multi-tasker, and an excellent communicator. This key leader will uphold The Spaniard’s standards of excellence in all areas including team management, quality of service, and guest relations.

WHO YOU ARE:
• 2+ years of experience in restaurant management in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Approachable and intelligent leader who is able to motivate, manage, and develop a large and diverse team
• Excellent verbal and written/digital communication skills
• Self-starter who is results-oriented and who appreciates and takes initiative on both the essential details and the bigger picture
• Team player with a roll up your sleeves attitude
• Superb time management skills with the ability to prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow up and execution
• NYC Food Handler’s Certificate
• Full availability, including nights and weekends

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Oversee and hands on management of day-to-day floor service of The Spaniard, touching tables and actively engage with guests
• Manage the FOH and BOH teams on a day-to-day basis, working floor shifts creating a positive work environment, driving sales, motivating team and creating exceptional guest experiences
• Collaborate with the management team on hiring, training, coaching, and overall development of team members including orientation, performance reviews and any necessary disciplinary actions
• Maintain quality and standards of The Spaniard’s food, drink, service and atmosphere
• Work alongside management team to oversee and execute a successful events program
