Room Attendant (seasonal Contract)

Job Summary:

This position requires a consistent team player with high attention to detail and technical precision to assist with the upkeep and cleanliness of the rooms in the Hotel.

 Organisational Positioning:

·       Department: Housekeeping

·       Reporting to:           Executive Housekeeper

·       Location:                 The Twelve Apostles Hotel Premises

Minimum Experience or Qualification:

·       Grade 10, but Grade 12 advantageous

·       Hotel housekeeping experience in a 4/5* environment advantageous

·       Highly presentable

·       Well-spoken in English

·       Able to work flexible hours, shits, weekends, holidays and nights

·       Able to physically strenuous working including heavy lifting

Key Performance Objectives:

·       To prioritize allocated rooms; and ensure that they are cleaned and serviced; and that guest supplies are replenished; all done timeously in accordance with department SOP

·       To ensure that corridors in their allocated section is clean at all times in accordance with SOP

·       To ensure that the housekeeping store room in allocated section is kept clean at all times in accordance with SOP

·       To ensure that special requests are completed in accordance with the traces on Opera

·       To ensure that quest laundry is handed in for laundering in accordance with company procedure

·       To follow-up on all uncollected room service trays in allocated section, ensuring prompt removal by the Room Service department
