The bit "About the Role"

The Works is a retail business with over 500 stores and a growing online store, and processes a very high volume of sales transactions from many sites. The revenue & cash team is responsible for ensuring that cash and related transactions are accounted for correctly. As an Accounts Administrator you will be an integral part of the Cash Accounting team whose main function on a daily basis is to ensure accurate, prompt recording of all cash receipts and investigation of discrepancies. 

Some of the key points of the role:

  • Enter, analyse and resolve cash exception.
  • Analyse & communicate discrepancies with stores, Area and Division Managers & HR
  • Resolving cash related store queries
  • Month end journals & reconciliations
  • Point of contact for G4S queries and administration

About You

To be successful within this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following attributes;

  • You will ideally be experienced in an similar role for a minimum of 12 months
  • A good communicator at all levels
  • Comfortable with Microsoft programmes in particular Excel
  • Good Numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Used to dealing with high volumes of data, and processing quickly and accurately
