Senior Accounts Administrator

As an experienced Accounts Administrator, you will support the Cash Accounting team on a daily basis to ensure accurate, prompt recording of all cash receipts and investigation of discrepancies. You will work closely with the Cash Accounting Supervisor to improve and streamline processes and identify areas for improvement. You will also take an active role in the month end process including balance sheet reconciliations.

About the role

·         Oversee store cash input to ensure cash is entered correctly and discrepancies are followed up appropriately

·         Month-end journals

·         Produce daily and monthly balance sheet reconciliations

·         Deal effectively and efficiently with escalation of queries with HSBC and G4S

·         Monitor store openings/closures to ensure bank books are on site for opening and set up/cancellation of G4S collections

·         Monitor the team shared email inbox, ensuring tasks are actioned within a reasonable timeframe

·         Analyse and communicate discrepancies to Stores and Area Managers where required

·         Cover other members of the team in periods of absence including entering store cash and allocating the cashbook

·         Cover for the Cash Accounting Supervisor where required

About you

·         Experience in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years

·         Retail experience preferable

·         Qualified to Level 3 AAT or equivalent

.         Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
