About the role


Our Cash Control team ensure the cash allocations and any related transaction discrepancies are correctly accounted for, whilst ensuring the appropriate controls are adhered to.

The Cash Control & Processing Manager will lead the team to ensure designation cash processing, reconciliation and reporting functions are completed in a timely manner, whilst in compliance with policy and regulations.

You will lead a team of 5 in a fast-paced, hands-on role and enjoy the challenge of finding solutions  


Key Responsibilities

  • Daily posting of cash book, analysis and breakdown of cash
  • Importing credit cards, Love to shop vouchers and sales information into the accounting system
  • Monthly analysis and posting of credit cards, expenses and calculations of employee deductions
  • Multi-currency bank reconciliations and cash discrepancy analysis
  • Raising payments, bank administration and transaction query resolution
  • Love to Shop administration and reconciliations
  • Cash and bank related month-end journals and reconciliations
  • Identifying risks, strengthening controls and improving processes
  • Build partnerships with our cash and banking contacts to build productive relationships
  • Train, develop, coach and inspire your team.
  • Respond to year-end audit requests and liaise with auditors to explain transactions, balances, processes and controls. 
  • Collate information through the year to minimise pressure points at the year end.
  • Train new Store Manager in the operation of store level cash processes.
  • Work alongside the retail operations team to monitor and review store float levels and assist with any store cash issues.

Desired Experience

  • Multi-currency cash management operations to include cash administration and cash centres, keeping records of incoming and outgoing cash, processing day to day transactions, maintaining records, producing periodic financial account reports.
  • Reviewing and driving improvements in cash management to ensure that the financial obligations are met in terms of budget requirements
  • Consolidating of cash processing reports and evaluates variances
  • Supporting senior management to ensure company policies and procedures are maintained and implemented.

Personal Qualities

  • Naturally inquisitive and not shy to question processes and procedures.
  • Strong organisational skills, flexible and able to adapt quickly to change, if not suggest the changes that are needed.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Confident and professional manner with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to all levels on all platforms.
