HR Data, Insights & Systems Analyst

The people function within The Works is going through an exciting transition phase
and we have an amazing opportunity for a HR Data & Systems Analyst.  This is a newly created role and a real chance to make an impact on the people team and the wider business.  We have an ambitious people agenda to implement in order to support our business plans and we are looking for a talented individual to join in and contribute to our evolving team and business.

Data and insights are key to us understanding people, whether it’s applicants, candidates, colleagues or those leaving our works family. This role plays an integral part in helping us to understand our people metrics to inform people related decision making across the business.

In this role you will own the strategy for people data as well as being our systems ‘guru’ building our people data and MI capability.
  You will be building reports and developing innovative ways to explain data trends and create engaging visual data presentations. You will build our people reporting capability through a series of dashboards, combining data from disparate sources and translating it into reports providing meaningful business insights for your audience.

This role will provide us the analysis and recommendations from qualitative and quantitative data to support the achievement of our people goals and KPIs, support decision making with data driven back up allowing focussed action planning with our overall mission to be an employer of choice.

Responsibilities include

  • Provision of all People MI, insight, trends and analysis working with wider People team and relevant stakeholders at all levels on the full colleague lifecycle.  Measuring progress against KPIs providing analysis using both current and historical information to support and challenge key decisions and actions.
  • Creating, standardising and producing a full suite of Weekly / Monthly / Annual Reports highlighting trends covering recruitment, L&D, talent and succession planning, levels of engagement, performance management, leaver analysis, promotions, absence & headcount data
  • Monthly / Annual Payroll analysis covering Annual Pay Review, overtime analysis, trends, hours monitoring, overtime holiday pay
  • HR Systems ‘guru’ ensuring adequate support, maintenance and data integrity through all interactions (ATS, T&A, iTrent, LMS, H&S) as well as managing security and system access.
  • Compliance Reporting and data audit requirements covering NMW, WTD, GDPR, Gender Pay Gap, Ethnicity Pay Gap, PLC Reporting, Diversity & Inclusion statistics
  • Project support & Ad hoc reporting e.g Ethics Committee output / labour model & structures / workforce planning
  • Analyse and interpret employee and candidate feedback and data held across various sources Engagement Survey Management and analysis, Exit Interviews, In role surveys, ATS.
  • Drive and Deliver Continuous Improvement by identifying and driving forward projects, ways of working and training that improve overall efficiency and effectiveness e.g. opportunities for process automation and introduction of new or upgraded technologies and systems
  • Working collaboratively with cross functional teams including People, IT, and Finance and presenting key business insights with recommendations to all levels (including Exec)

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An inquisitive mind and full of initiative
  • A passion for the interpretation and analysis of People data – making complex data simple!
  • Excellent communication, presentation and communication skills
  • A track record of interpreting data to drive business performance, providing visibility of what’s happening across your business from a people data perspective
  • A track record producing monthly & ad-hoc HR reporting packs using relevant tools, delivering invaluable information / insights to the People function and beyond
  • Experience of working within a People function analysing reports & identifying trends
  • An eye for detail and thirst for translating critical information into meaningful insight
  • Strong knowledge and experience building dashboards analysing trends and making recommendations based on insights
  • You’re an expert user of Excel to deliver reporting and analysis; experience of using Power BI or Tableau would be great too
  • You want to work as part of a great team but are also happy getting things done independently
