The Short Bit ‘About the Role’

As Retail Communications Specialist, you will help to drive the retail strategy by delivering effective and engaging operational communications, assisting with the development of our brand and increasing customer and colleague awareness.


This role is all about supporting our retail operation, helping them to understand what we do and why, celebrating our successes and inspiring our colleagues about our amazing products and campaigns.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Central Operations Manager in keeping our retail colleagues up to date with new launches as well as operational changes in a fun and engaging way.
  • Update the Store Communications Planner and plan activity and communications accordingly.
  • Create content for and co-ordinate our Daily Communications, newsletters and campaign packs.
  • Work with the Internal Communications and Engagement Manager to support the delivery of the Communications and Engagement Strategy and calendar of campaigns and events for retail colleagues.
  • Use your design and copywriting skills to bring our fun tone of voice and brand to life for our Crafty, Caring and Can-Do colleagues.
  • Work with stakeholders and colleagues across the business to collate content ensuring clarity, consistency, tone of voice and quality.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of our communications and channels, sharing your findings and suggestions with the Retail and Central Operations team as appropriate.
  • Create and publish all promotional packs and guidance for store colleagues, using the most effective communications methods.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working in retail operations communications or internal communications and/or other relevant experience.
  • First class copywriting skills with ability to adapt tone of voice dependent on audience, with flawless grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, video software and managing communications platforms.
  • IT literate with knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office.
