Merchandiser, Birmingham
Working closely
with the buying function to achieve the multi-channel targets set by the
company on Product Group sales, profit, availability and stock targets, you
will plan and trade the area of responsibility, manage performance in season,
and provide robust financial sales planning to support the company financial
framework.
In addition you will:
- Provide
robust analysis of sales to feed in to review of previous seasons performance,
identifying opportunities for growth or areas of potential decline
- Create
the WSSI sales stock and intake plans at sub category, weekly level ensuring
alignment to the budgets
- booking
stock / raising orders and phasing of orders with suppliers on key volume lines
- capacity
planning with suppliers on key volume lines
- critical
path management
- Reforecast
KPIs weekly in the WSSI working alongside buying team to ensure alignment
- Manage
stock levels and forecasts to support sales and availability
- Meet
availability targets by channel on key volume lines at all times
- Managing
proposed orders against OTB spend at sub PG level
- Propose
promotional or markdown activity when necessary to drive sales and or manage
stock levels / terminal risk
- Work
closely with Allocations team on agreeing stock build strategies and factoring
changes to potentialise sales
- Review
DC and store stocks weekly to ensure optimisation of stock by channel
- Work
cross functionally
- Regular
visits to our stores and our competition to listen to both colleague and
customer feedback to support opportunities in season on potential risks to
mitigate
About You
- A passion for Merchandising
and driving sales – challenging
the norm and not being afraid to try something new!
- Strong administration skills along with analytical and numerical skills
- Be flexible in approach whilst working under
pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
with the ability to use interpersonal skills to
communicate at all levels and cross functionally
- Ability to work as part of a team, whilst being self-sufficient
and self-motivated
- Exceptional commercial awareness
- Computer literate, with knowledge of MS Excel and have the ability
to learn and use in-house software
