Sous Chef, Cotswolds 


We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our awesome Swan team! 

The Swan, in the picture-perfect village of Ascot-Under-Wychwood is everything a traditional pub should be with its pretty Cotswold stone exterior, fantastic food and drink, roaring fires and comfortable lounging areas, the most incredible garden with an open Ox Grill BBQ and pizza oven. We are proud of our flagship gastro pub in the heart of the Cotswolds where locals and visitors alike enjoy locally brewed beer propped at our bar with friends and family, or homemade dishes in our restaurant using the very best British ingredients in our well-loved classics that have quite a foodie following.

Our Sous Chef will of course have a love for fabulous food and drink, you’ll be a team player and have a calming influence in the engine room of or fabulous pub. You’ll understand the importance of leading by example and bringing the team with you even on the busiest of services, be empathetic and be able to coach our team to ensure we have fun. 

You’ll currently be managing a team of chefs, ultra-organised and efficient, ensuring rotas are planned and communicated, with the Head Chef. You’ll lead by example; taking ownership of the kitchen, demonstrating great culinary expertise, food knowledge, attention to detail and take personal pride to ensure consistent standards. We would expect you to learn from others and communicate well with the GM and your front of house team mates and as part of the management team, playing your part to ensure our guests and team are happy.
