Ring the dinner bell! The Ranch at Las Colinas is looking for a Sales Assistant/Banquet Coordinator to join our incredible team! Company's Comin' and that means we need a hospitality leader who welcomes in our Guests like family and ensures events go off without a hitch. Everybody’s taken care of here at The Ranch and welcomed in with open arms. This is food for all Texans and the folks who got here as fast as they could. Our team is large on charm, making each guest feel like a visit here is a special occasion. Conversation is easy, drinks are cold, bellies are full. This is true Texas hospitality. 

Our Sales Assistant:

  • Has never met a stranger and always starts with a genuine Texas welcome
  • Understands the needs and wants for large events and ensures flawless execution
  • Creates connections with event planners and hosts to keep them coming back again and again
  • Moves with a purpose, but is never in a hurry and always at the guests' pace
  • Recognizes our regular and VIP guests and kicks off their visits like welcoming back the best of friends
  • Inspires the event team to be their best and supports the team as needed
  • Ensures pre-event planning is completed with a near obsessive attention to detail and high amount of communication
  • Partners with the host team during non-event times to create Texas-sized welcomes for our guests


Position Summary

The Sales Assistant/Banquet Coordinator is responsible for supporting and assisting the role of Events Sales and Catering Manager in planning and helping to execute all private dining and large party events. The Sales Assistant is responsible for the organization of booking documents and closing of all event sales, gathering weekly BEO for manager meetings and creating floor charts for the upcoming events. The SA will also develop and maintain business relationships inside and outside of the restaurant by participating in offsite store-sponsored events when the SM is not available. 


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Close Event Financials from the previous days/weekend
  • Ensure the accuracy of all Booking Documents and place in Events Binder
  • Send Follow up emails to guests to get feedback and promote future bookings
  • TS events in OpenTable to ensure continuity
  • Send follow-up emails and calls to guests who have not finalized booking or are missing essential booking documents and details
  • Gather BEO and Menus for weekly Operations team meeting
  • the booking of all parties under 20 in the main dining room
  • Assist in site tours who Sales Manager is not available
  • Assist in event bookings of larger parties when the Sales Manager is not available 

Qualifications:  

  • Minimum two (2) years banquet lead/supervisor or other relevant service experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English 
  • Stand for long periods of time & be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs 
  • OpenTable experience is a plus 
  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • Experience in hospitality or customer service 
  • Excellent organizational, and planning skills in a high-volume environment 
  • The ability to anticipate problems and make contingency plans. 
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • A charming demeanor and positive attitude 
  • Flexible and approachable
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • High energy and upbeat
