Construction Manager

The role of the Construction Manager is to assist the Senior Director of Development in analyzing, producing, communicating and tracking of all assigned TFG projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Construction Manager will be responsible for the project Schedule and Documentation. Projects are defined as business development and operational opportunities for TFG. This position reports to the Senior Director of Development.

Responsibilities

• Create spreadsheets to analyze project feasibility to ensure projects fall within TFG’s core values
• Maintain active log of all TFG project status and next steps
• Maintain project binders and electronic folders to memorialize each projects history.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables for all individuals/resources involved with each project
• Work with Development Team and senior management to ensure TFG business goals are met
• Assist Senior Director of Development with business development projects as needed

• Proactively look for project conflicts or issues and present solution options to the team
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Track project milestones and deliverables
• Develop and deliver progress reports and required documentation for ongoing projects to the Senior Director of Development
• Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project
elements

Position Requirements

• University degree or college diploma in business management or related field.
• 3 years of construction experience with at least 1 years in the restaurant sector.
• Strong familiarity with project management software, databases and operating systems.
• Solid working knowledge of Excel
• Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
• Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.


Work Conditions

Long hours may be required in meeting project deadlines.
Sitting for extended periods of time.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with off-site personnel/management.
