EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, Mercado Little Spain

ThinkFoodGroup is seeking an Executive Director to lead the operations of a groundbreaking Spanish food hall project to debut in Spring 2019 in New York City’s upcoming Hudson Yards development. Created by chef José Andrés’ in conjunction with fellow Spaniards Ferran and Albert Adrià, this much-anticipated project promises to be the ultimate gathering place celebrating all things España, for residents, professionals and visitors alike.

The Executive Director will help develop and oversee daily operations of the 35,000 square-foot space – an all-day destination for Spanish food, drink and culture as imagined through the inimitable, unconventional creative lens of José and team. This person will help build the team and manage operations, finance, HR, procurement, technology and marketing to drive growth and efficiency, build profits and engage in the Hudson Yard and New York communities. Position requires a minimum of 15 years experience in restaurant or foodservice operations and leadership, ideally with specific food hall experience. Fluency in Spanish and strong familiarity with Spanish gastronomy is highly preferred. A more detailed job description is available on request by qualified candidates.
