Vaucluse Restaurant (Omar at Vaucluse and West Room) Seeking Host /Hostess


Description
Vaucluse is a lifestyle venue on Park Avenue that includes two venues and experiences: Omar at Vaucluse, which has a supper club feel, and the West Room, which is a comfortable dining option with a plush velvet, garden room- like vibe set with spectacular high ceilings. Both add vibrancy back to the Upper East side and Park Avenue.

The food program is top-notch with both venues lead by Altamarea Group chefs and helmed by Chef Michael White and his team.

We are looking for hosts/hostesses that have a natural instinct for warm hospitality and superior client attention with a “can-do attitude” for our global and well-traveled clients. Being highly organized, high energy and able to consistently work with a sense of urgency and purpose is essential. Many of our guests are international clients who live or visit New York frequently. Being able to relate to different cultures, recognize clients, research and develop quickly a knowledge their needs, and build an attentive relationship are highly important to the role. Our clients set a high bar for expectations and standards that we must meet while adding a personal touch.


Responsibilities include:

• Help manage the reservation book and accommodate walk-ins under guidance of the Maitre d’
• Spend slower periods preparing, researching and communicating with clients
• Support the General Manager and Maitre d’ in all aspects to develop the client experience
• Build relationships and client information to enhance the client experience (using Seven Rooms booking system)

Requirements:
• Strong guest relation skills
• Communication skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to remain calm and organized in a high-volume environment
• Desire to build client database and foster relationships
• Experience with Seven Rooms is a plus
• Open Availability, Able to work flexible hours
• Can work in teams and foster team work
