Description
Position Title: Service Apprentice
Reports to: General Manager, Floor Managers, F&B Director, Exec. Chef

General Summary:

The Apprentice position’s primary mission is to provide assistance to servers in a warm, accommodating, professional manner ensuring total guest satisfaction, as well as mastering all necessary steps of service. The level of service must be consistent with the Company standards. The apprentice is responsible for providing water, bread and coffee service; clearing and resetting tables when appropriate and maintaining, cleaning and restocking all service stations in each outlet they are working. The apprentice is also responsible for polishing silverware, glassware and smallwares for the F&B spaces they are assigned to. The apprentice must ultimately uphold the values and mission statement of the Company while performing positional responsibilities and adhering to operational standards.

Primary Duties:

• To uphold the values and mission statement of our experience while performing positional responsibilities.
• To adhere to company policy and procedures, as stated in the company Handbook.
• To provide the highest quality service to all guests at all times, by instilling the company philosophy.
• Fulfill guest needs, politely and courteously.
• Clean tables between courses.
• Provide coffee & tea service.
• Setup tables and other areas for service.
• Deliver dirty dishes to appropriate dish washing area.
• Serve water, bread, etc.
• Perform sidework duties both pre and post shift, as well as weekly items as they are assigned.
• Restock service stations with all appropriate items.
• Polish and clean silverware.
• Perform other duties as assigned.









Requirements:

Promote teamwork within the property. Displays a pleasant and cheerful disposition. Able to communicate professionally and effectively with both guests and staff. Must be polished and professional in appearance. Must maintain a high level of integrity. Is able to adapt in difficult situations, solve problems and make decisions when necessary. Shows an eagerness and capacity to learn, Can be relied upon to complete tasks.


Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to deal with guests in a professional manner.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a high volume, upscale establishment
• Provide a valid Food Handler Certificate



Other:

Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Available to work late nights, weekends, holidays and long days as necessary.
Must be able to stand and or walk for long periods of time without sitting.
