Responsibilities/Duties:

− Perform all necessary tasks for bar according to the standard operating procedure of the restaurant...
− Efficiently and properly performs all service and sequence of service standards.
− Set up and break down the bar area.
− Maintain inventory at par levels.
− Direct the work of Barbacks
− To anticipate customer needs and to attend to this need towards customer satisfaction, promoting guest relations effectively. Recognizes repeat guests.
− Address guests by surname whenever possible.
− Prepare and serve drinks according to recipes for guests and servers.
− Ensure standardization and consistent beverage preparation, presentation and quality.
− Check identification for proof of age when required.
− Provide food service as appropriate.
− Ensure proper payment from departing guests.
− Invite and welcome guests back upon completion of their visit.
− Prepare bar for next shift.
− Must have extensive knowledge of a variety of alcoholic beverages
− Must have extensive experience in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
− Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
− Must have the ability to lift heavy items and have the ability to organize multiple orders.
− Perform accurate cash/credit handling and POS procedures in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Count bank on a daily basis.
− Ensure the order and cleanliness of the bar is in accordance to health and safety regulations.
− Actively use up selling techniques to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue.
− Ensuring compliance to all hotel policies and procedures at all levels.
− To report for duty punctually and in proper dress code
− To attend training and meetings as and when required.
− Undertake any reasonable task and secondary duties as assigned by the Management.

− Knowledgeable about the company you work for, i.e. locations, cuisine, etc.
− Knowledgeable about surroundings, i.e. nearby entertainment, theaters, etc.
− Maintains an innovative technical expertise through attendance of meetings and review of current literature and trends.

Qualifications:

− Computer literacy to include: POS Systems
− Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
