Description

Yellowstone Club’s Culinary Department is currently seeking candidates for a Baker.

The purpose of the Baker is to provide various outlets and events with baked goods.

Responsibilities Include:  

·         Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists.

·         Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use.

·         Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods.

·         Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures.

·         Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management.

·         Wash and disinfect kitchen area; set-up and break-down work station; and follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures including personal hygiene procedures

·         Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift.

·         Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team to reach common goals.

 

Position Requirements:

·         High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work; culinary school preferred

·         Basic kitchen safety knowledge

·         Heavy lifting required, up to 25 lbs.

·         Able to read and follow recipes as directed

·         Be able to work weekends and holidays (these are our busiest times)

·         Excellent grooming standards

·         Ability to stand for 8-10 hours

·         Able to work long days when required. There WILL be early mornings and late nights

·         Must be able to adapt, as things are constantly changing

·         Attention to detail

The position offered is a Full-Time, seasonal position located in Big Sky, MT.
