Yellowstone Club’s Culinary department is currently seeking candidates for Pastry Assistants.

The purpose of the Pastry Assistant is to aid in providing the various outlets and events at Yellowstone Club with baked goods.

Responsibilities Included:

·         Prepare breads and pastries, including preparing doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating as appropriate.

·         Review production sheet to understand variety of baked goods to be produced daily.

·         Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists.

·         Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance.

·         Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods.

·         Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures.

·         Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management.

·         Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift.

·         Monitor food quality while preparing food.

·         Set-up and break down work station.

·         Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.

·         Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, and equipment.

·         Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.

·         Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

·         High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work; culinary school preferred

·         Previous experience as a Line Cook

·         Basic kitchen safety knowledge

·         Heavy lifting required, up to 50 lbs.

·         Able to read and follow recipes as directed

·         Be able to work weekends and holidays (these are our busiest times)

·         Excellent grooming standards

·         Ability to stand for 8-10 hours; Able to work long days when required. There WILL be early mornings and late nights

·         Must be able to adapt, as things are constantly changing

·         Attention to detail
