Description
Yellowstone Club’s Health & Wellness department is currently seeking candidates for a Fitness Supervisor.

The purpose of the Fitness Supervisor is to provide professional, efficient, friendly and happy service for our Members and guests of Yellowstone Club, eventually enhancing, creating and realizing all revenue and profit opportunities. As well as support the management team through recruiting, training, motivating and leading the fitness spa attendant and fitness instructor personnel.

Responsibilities Include:
• Exhibit a professional attitude, diplomacy and an ability to handle difficult situations.
• Uphold and ensure gracious front desk procedures in the booking and handling of customers.
• Responsible for being knowledgeable in regards to all Fitness services, activities, pricing, and other services provided by YC Spa, Salon & Fitness.
• Professionally exhibit proper telephone etiquette with guests in compliance with the terminology dictated by the spa management.
• Enthusiastically serve guests in a timely manner, while implementing proper service standards.
• Practice all sanitation and safety guidelines provided by both the Department of Health and YC Village.
• Proactively maintain cleanliness standards in all areas of the Fitness, Spa, Salon and Retail.
• Professionally take and confirm reservations for all services and services and treatments offered at the fitness centers
• Answer all incoming calls in an efficient and friendly manner. Consistently provide members with the requested information concerning their needs.
• Possess an ability to effectively sell and upsell.
• Efficiently process all incoming reservations received
• Promptly mail all literature requests and confirmations.
• Reply to inquiries and requests via website and administrative messages.


Financial:
• Provide support to the Fitness Management team through excellent communication and business analysis.
• Assist in developing procedures for accurate inventory control and monitoring Fitness member supplies.
• Implement opportunities for managing operational costs and boosting the bottom line.


Marketing:
• Assist in developing and maintaining gracious and efficient Fitness Front Desk and Reservations procedures, with proactive anticipation of guest and Member needs.
• Assist in effectively providing product/service knowledge to the staff with training and trend presentations to maximize the guest experience.
• Involve, engage and motivate the YC Club employee to proactively sell and recommend the Fitness dept.
• Consistently develop dynamic practices and grow sales through training, tools and monitoring.
• Ensure the Fitness Center, Camphouse, Spa, Salon and retail are always staged for maximum buyer impact.

Guest Service:
• Anticipate, identify and ensure customer needs are being met in the best possible way.
• Assist the Fitness Manager in monitoring customer satisfaction with surveys, focus groups, mystery shops and comment cards.
• Develop and deliver credible, competitive, value-plus service to the customer.
• Guide staff to become caring problem solvers, cooperative, accommodating and fair.
• Exhibit a professional attitude, diplomacy and an ability to handle difficult situations.
• Uphold and ensure gracious procedures in the handling of customers. Maintain fresh, effective programs that assist in consistently retaining and growing our customer base.
• Maintain compensation guidelines for member complaint handling.

Staffing and Human Resources:
• Work with the Fitness Manager to develop a recruitment kit for effective recruiting, screening, interviewing and hiring of Coordinators.
• Implement ongoing skills training to ensure service standards are being upheld.
• Assist with developing and monitoring job descriptions and staff goals planning.
• Help maintain staff licensing and certifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assist the Fitness Manager to perform staff evaluation reports with proposed action plans.
• Effectively administer and monitor attendant scheduling procedures.
• Demonstrate an exceptional level of professionalism for the staff to emulate.
• Create a motivating environment of sincerity, warmth and fun for staff and guests.
• Implement negative staff behavior and dismissal guidelines with follow-through.
• Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with direct reports.
• Create the culture of continuous improvements, fun on the job and career growth.

Operations:
• Always maintain the Fitness Center, Camphouse Spa, Salon, and Retail and in a very clean, organized and efficient way.
• Maintain an up to date version of the Fitness procedure manual and ensure Attendant compliance.
• Attend management meetings and convey all relevant information throughout the Fitness Dept.
• Work with Fitness Manager to hold regular staff meetings to keep staff up to date on all aspects of the Fitness Dept. operation.
• Ensure equipment is maintained in good working order.
• Minimize or eliminate losses through negligence with monitoring programs.
• Implement clearly established opening and closing procedures.
• Manage inventory effectively; follow purchasing standards and ensure compliance.

Supervision:
• Ensure timely completion of all supervisory duties.
• Supervise Coordinating staff. Assist with training, supervising and scheduling of all fitness instructors and locker attendants.
• With the Fitness Manager, administer and oversee performance evaluations for all.
• Professionally handle all fitness guest disputes and concerns.
• Assist Fitness Manager with implementation of Fitness procedural and training materials.
• Assist and support entire Fitness management team as necessary.
• Assist Management team with operations, problem-solving and training.
• Ensure that all Fitness team Members deliver exceptional, unparalleled guest experience and customer service to Spa patrons.


Position Requirements:
• High School or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least two years in a top resort/spa operation.
• Valid State Driver’s License
• Able to speak clearly and effectively with Members, guests, co-workers, vendors and other Yellowstone Club departments. Able to write clearly and legibly.
