Yellowstone Club’s Fleet & Facilities department is currently seeking candidates for a Chief Engineer. 

 

The purpose of the Chief Engineer is to maintain the appearance and presentation of the Club including all buildings, facilities and fleet vehicles. The Chief Engineer also supports the Director of Facilities & Fleet to manage capital repair and renovation projects.

 

Responsibilities Include:

·         Responsible for monitoring compliance with state building codes and regulations, OSHA safety codes and adherence to Fire Department standards of safety and evacuation procedures.

·         A complete understanding of all building related systems -- Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety, IT, etc.

·         A complete understanding of all building related equipment – HVAC, Kitchens, Laundry, Pool, Residences, Buildings, etc.

·         Create and post all Facility staffs schedules.

·         Create and adhere to annual budget for department.

·         Supervises maintenance operations for the Club to include but not limited to:  refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water softeners and treatment, HVAC units, ice machines, swimming pool, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency equipment/systems, roof, electrical panels, painting and repairs, residential needs, etc.

·         Effectively interview, supervise, train, manage performance, and assign tasks and follow-up with engineering staff to ensure maximum productivity.

·         Maintains all Facility and Fleet spaces in a safe, clean, organized, energy efficient manner.

·         Ensures all projects are completed according to specifications and on time.

·         Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals. Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.

·         Maintains current status of all permits (elevator, boiler, fire extinguishers, etc.)

·         Ability to transfer technical expertise to property personnel; strong training skills designed to deliver results.

·         Conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure(s) of the Club.

·         Inform the Director of Facilities & Fleet on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure(s), related systems, and equipment offering prudent, cost effective proposals for maintaining these systems. Access and input information into a computer and generate reports as required.

·         Ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

 

Position Requirements:

·         5 – 7 years’ experience as a Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, or Engineer IV/Supervisor in a large upscale hotel, hospital, resort, or building, including 5 years in a management capacity

·         Employee should have had responsibilities for oversight of major areas of the facility

·         3+ years’ experience in the following areas: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry

·         Strong time management skills

·         Skilled in dry walling, painting, plumbing, and roofing, chillers and boilers a plus

·         Experience in ordering materials, securing bids, city codes and other applicable building codes regarding building and construction, blueprint reading, preferred
