Summer 2021 Golf Course Maintenance Operator


Description

The purpose of the Golf Course Maintenance Operator is to complete maintenance of the Yellowstone Club golf course grounds through manual labor, operation of utility vehicles, power equipment, and other motorized equipment.

Essential Job Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. • Mow golf course areas to specifications by operating and using hand and power mowing equipment.
• Operate self-propelled walk mowers in the operation of mowing greens and tees.
• Hand-rake sand bunkers and removes any debris or hazardous materials from the course.
• Perform inspections of facilities and grounds and report any hazardous situations in an immediate manner.
• Operate string trimmers to trim around flower beds, trees and bushes and maintain native grass areas.





• Operate various mowers, string trimmers, edges cart paths, bunkers, sprinkler heads, and helps maintain sand bunkers.
• Operates golf carts and utility vehicles for transportation around golf course in the performance of tasks.
• Operate other light maintenance equipment authorized by supervisor.
• Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis.
• Report equipment problems or failure to the equipment manager immediately.
• Clean the maintenance areas daily.
• Aids in drainage, laying sod, preparing soil base, and other various construction projects.

• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Club policies, procedures, and standards of service to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
• Meet departmental productivity, organization, punctuality/attendance and consistency standards.
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
• Treat Members, guests, vendors, customers and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times.
• Maintain privacy of our Members at all time.
• Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with all employees, supervisors, managers and directors.
• Perform work in a safe and high quality manner.
• Project a favorable image of Yellowstone Club to Members and guests at all times.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties, work hours and/or responsibilities for this job at any time.

Experience/Education Required
High School Diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work; 1 year minimum experience operating light machinery i.e. lawn mower, trimmers, garden tractors.

Experience/Education Preferred
Previous work experience at a resort or Club.
