Yellowstone Club’s Golf Course Maintenance department is currently seeking candidates for an Assistant in Training.

The purpose of the Assistant in Training is to assist in directing, planning, coordinating, operation, and maintenance the golf course tees, greens fairways, cart paths, and mechanical equipment

Responsibilities Include:
• Directly or indirectly supervises employees and/or supervisors
• Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Ensure that each member and guest receives outstanding guest service in a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
• Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our members and guests and assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
• Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees, members, and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the General Manager or Human Resources immediately.
• Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a positive working environment.
• Schedule work assignment and supervise the employees.
• Support and supervise in the operation and maintenance of pumps, and in the maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems.
• Performs all fertilizer and chemical application record keeping functions.
• Assist in personnel management and evaluation, employee safety, personnel discipline and may also modify the daily work schedule based on professional interpretation.
• Oversee the completion of work assignments by crew members pursuant to procedures, work standards, and equipment use.

Position Requirements:
• Two to four year college degree, preferably in Turf Grass Management
• One to three years of golf course management experience
• Working knowledge of the maintenance of golf course tees, fairways and greens
• Preferred proficiency in Spanish speaking

The position offered is a full-time, year-round position located in Big Sky, Montana.
